After School Club, a place to have fun
COme and join in and meet some other local young people, have a go at a craft or chat to one of our volunteers about how we can help with school work. .
It all started when…
Since we have been based at the Phoenix Centre during the evening on a Tuesday for the family foodbank we have started to meet some of the local youngsters who go to local schools. As ever there seem to be a group who are keen to hang out and chat but do not have a safe space to relax in. So we have opened the Phoenix Centre on a Thursday evening for this very purpose. Anyone of school age is welcome to come in and meet with our friendly volunteers. All of whom have a background in teaching or working with young people and families. There are games to play, snacks to enjoy, and we can even help with any school work that you bring along.
